Consulting Opportunities

I am experienced and accomplished at providing the progression from an idea to a permanent, impactful change for educators and students.

  • Initiative – a program or project designed to improve teaching, enhance student learning, or establish pedagogical practices.
    • Experiential Learning: interactive activities  to teach soft skills like  critical thinking, cooperation, and active listening.
  • Concept – an abstract principle, broad or “Big Idea” that connects facts to a deeper understanding; moving from rote memorization into active inquiry.
    • Bridging a concept while fostering independent, self motivated learners.
  • Innovation – the implementation of novel ideas, methods, or technologies that improve learning experiences and outcomes.
    •  Personalized learning, Pedagogical shifts, Technological integration, and Inclusive environments.

Mission

My goal is to foster a relationship with my clients that leads to a deeper pedological understanding.  This allows me to  facilitate a plan of action to reinvent, adapt, modify, and transform an objective or teaching practice to meet the needs of all students and the communities where instruction occurs.

Values

I will work to understand and appreciate  the realities of each client’s classroom or learning community so that I am able to cultivate a deeper understanding of their pursuits within them.

Strengths

I believe my greatest skill is taking concepts from a curriculum and coaching teachers to modify the objectives in a manner that makes students excited about learning.

Students use Mr. Potato head to help learn about their senses.

Fifth grade students used collaboration and the soft skill  of following directions to put together a model house.  They also had to add three energy sources and explain the transfers.

Students acted out the water cycle then created a storyboard to build interest and facilitate understanding.

As a vocabulary strategy, students added motions into a GIF to demonstrate the water cycle and match the vocabulary with their actions.
